Frequently Asked Questions - Skydiving FAQ

Tandem Skydiving is the best method for making your first jump. It takes a minimal amount of instruction, and allows you to make your initial skydive(s) with an instructor harnessed to you for the entire skydiving experience.

Tandem Jumps provide an opportunity for people to try skydiving while securely strapped to an expert skydiver. The training takes about an hour then you are geared up and ready to go! We jump from 11,000 feet which will give you an out of this world free fall of approximately 60 seconds! Your tandem instructor will open the parachute then together you fly it back to the landing area. Our viewing area is directly adjacent to the landing area so your friends and family will be able to join in your excitement and watch you exit the plane, free fall and land too!

You will be exiting the aircraft at 11,000 feet. That is over two miles high.

This is a question we get a lot. As with anything you do, skydiving is as dangerous or as safe as you want to make it. We have rules & regulations that are there for our safety; we use state-of-the-art equipment that is manufactured to exacting standards and we have Instructors that are expert in what they do - all of which gives us as well as you, the student, as safe a skydive as is humanely possible. To put this in perspective - world wide, that adds up to several million safe jumps per year. It is also helpful to know that skydiving has the lowest number of incidents per number of participants.

If you are in good health and enjoy having fun, you are a perfect candidate for skydiving! The age limit is 18 or 16 - 17 with parental consent. The weight limit is 240 pounds, there is a price increase for individuals over 200 pounds. Like any physical endeavour you need to be informed so give us a call and lets get you started.

Lace-up shoes (no hiking boots or sandals) and comfortable clothing. We provide a helmet, jumpsuit and goggles to make your skydive. Please let your instructor know if you wear contact lenses so you receive the proper pair of goggles. We also have special goggles to go over glasses.

Reservations are not required but they are highly recommended, as it is the only way to guarantee your slot in an airplane that day. Walk-in's and same day reservations are always welcome; please ask about the estimated wait time when you register. To make a reservation we require a $50 deposit per person. You may cancel or change a reservation up to 48 hours before a scheduled appointment without losing your deposit. Your deposit will be refunded, or a new booking accepted if you have bad weather on the day of your appointment.

Everyone experiences some fear, after all, you are jumping from an airplane! This is totally normal, the instructors you will be jumping with have made hundreds, if not thousands of skydives, so they're pretty calm about it. Fear is usually a lack of knowledge and our staff members will be happy to answer any questions or concerns you have about your skydive to help put your mind at ease.

We fly the latest ram air canopies, which allow you to control the speed and descent of your landing. While all landings may not look like those done by James Bond, it is always our goal to make sure you reach the ground safely and softly.

Free Fall is not the stomach churning feeling of a fun fair ride; because you are falling on a cushion of air you have no falling sensation. What your senses will detect is the wind flowing over your body, much like sticking your hand out the car window.
